Another noob from PA!
« on: April 20, 2008, 07:42:08 PM »
Except I'm from the Eastern half....just outside of Philly, right of the good ol PA turnpike.
I'm in the market for my first bike, first real bike that is. Had my old dirt bike through high school and all, but now I want a real one. I've had more than a few people tell me I'm crazy for wanting to buy a motorcycle with my wife pregnant with our first kiddo, but I've already made it through my stupid years and I don't intend on going back.

I'm looking for a 550 to play with, nothing serious. Probably a set of drag bars to start and a 4 into 1 exhaust, but something that's still comfy. If you know of anybody getting rid of a titled and running 550, send them my way! I've been doing the Craigslist and ebay thing lately, but not much there currently. I'll keep my eye on it though. Can't say I like being a noob again, I'm past those days on my Jeep sites, but I'm still glad to be here!

Welcome.  But don't kid yourself.  Your stoopid days are just starting.  Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade it for anything.  But there will be times when you will call it stoopid, or you will feel stoopid for missing something...

stupid days aside- my good friend is a young father of two first one marriage inducing, second one last year, and last year he started riding as a way to do something for himself- him and his wife both work and raise the kids 99% of the time, the other 1% the bike helps him keep his sanity.  the more responsibilities you have, the more you need an outlet.
