New Old.  Original purchase 1973 CB750.  Except for pipes and grab bar, still all original.  Restoring carbs and airbox now to get her running again. Will be registered in NC.

This is my CB750 K2.  Built 7/72 but titled as a 73'. Frame CB750-2055319, Engine CB750E-20663234. I think I read somewhere that back in the day before standardized VIN #'s bikes were titled when sold rather than when built. Anyhoo here is how she sits today. Still needs some love but getting there.

Greetings! Allow me to introduce you all to Red Peg. I've had her about 26 years now. Bought when I was 20 from a boss who was going through a divorce and thought it might look bad to have 2 motorcycles. He was the second owner so I'm the third. This was my first bike, and it's been on the road almost every year since I got it. I've had a couple other bikes in that time, but this one has pretty much always been "my bike". I'd like something more modern too, but I can't imagine getting rid of Red Peg. She's got about 62K on the clock now. During those lean college years and when my kids were little I kept it running with the help of a Clymer manual and a parts bike I got in a trade. Over those years I've done almost all the work myself, so anything that's FUed about it is all on me.

I didn't manage to get it out of storage at all last year, so this year I made sure to get it out as soon as the snow was good and gone, and I've been working on it all summer slowly chipping away at the years of accumulated mechanical issues. At this point I'm ready to move on to the cosmetics. Of course it's a 40+ year old bike so it's always gonna need something, but at this point Red Peg is humming pretty good.

Joined the forum today so here is my 77' F2. Originally a US but imported to the UK and restored.

Previous owner said the bike had no issues, unfortunately he was not truthful. The bike had 80% of nuts and bolts finger tight, hole in the engine casing, worn cam tensioners, incorrect needle heights as well as different needles and the paint job turned to glue if it came into contact with petrol.

Well it's been a couple years since anyone posted on this thread and I just looked and see I haven't posted my bikes on this registry.
My Planet Blue 1975 K5 I bought from a friend's estate in November 2018. He parked it properly in his heated basement in 2008, he kicked it over every year, gas emptied from the tank and carbs, tank and seat upstairs on a bed covered, so it was a fairly easy bring back to life, cleaned the carbs, flushed the brake fluid, changed the oil and filter, tires and tubes, good clean and wax.
I've known this bike since 1976 working together with the original owner at the Honda shop and I had an identical K5 that I bought new myself in 75(it had an early demise). I am the 3rd owner now. I took pictures of it in the early 80s when it was bought by another friend, the one who died in 2018. I got those pictures back with the bike.
It's been fun to get it back on the road and ride it again as the last time I rode it before buying it was in 1976 when I was parts manager and sold the Hooker Header, 10" bars and the engine guards to the original owner. The Invader Wheels were added in the 1980s by the second owner.

In the summer of 1976 I lost my K5 when my ex cousin dumped it going into a ditch as I watched it hit the big rock and endo head over heels and back across the street as he didn't make the corner at 70mph.....
So I bought a 76 K6 to replace it. I kept that K6 until 1983, @ 45,000 miles, when my growing family had needs. Lots of great memories on it. My hound had 35,000 miles on it with me. 5 cross country trips together and lots of local riding. In 1977, I built the motor(actually the friend's out in the shop did the build) to an 811 Yoshimura kit, Action Fours cam and springs, 3 angle valve cuts, ported head and dual drilled discs.
Sure have missed that bike over the years......

When I bought my K6, my oldest brother wanted one after riding mine so I got to do the set up from the crate on it. He bought a Windjammer and Shoei bags and 10" bars that got installed too.
A year later he had to move to Chicago for his job and sold it to my dad. Dad rode it to work daily as well as took mom for rides on it until she got scared by someone while out for a ride. Dad sold it to another friend of mine who was looking for one and he rode it until@ 1988 when it puked oil on his dress trousers so he parked it. I stopped by his house in 2015 to visit him and his new wife mentioned he had a bike. I'd forgotten he'd bought it and when I asked him what he had, he said the 750 I sold him. "You mean my dad's bike?" Yep. Can I see it? Yup. Unfortunately mice had built a double decker condo under the carbs(the birthing chambers) and in the tool tray(the penthouse). The motor was stuck tight. I told Pete I can get it going again and he said if I can then I can have it. So it's been a stalled project since I tore it down for lack of funds to complete it.
The mice had gotten in the exhaust and peed in the two center cylinders and locked up the motor and peed all over the frame and RC exhaust.
I just picked up an 836 motor I'm about to open up to inspect it's internals and strip to bad paint job(red and black that are peeling and corroded), and paint it back to silver again, to get this project going again.

Hi  I'm Mark. My board name is Scootch - which was my HS nickname...

Here are most of the high points… I had lusted after a CB750 for many years. I was 17 when they came out in '69. I owned a CL350 Scrambler at that time but was blown away with the enormity and the sound of the CB750. I have never forgotten that sound. 1970 was the year I graduated from HS. Thus the special significance of the '70 CB to me. This machine was located in Arizona and obtained from the son of the original owner with ~4300 miles on the clock. The gentleman that located it brought it back to Florida and performed a refurbishment on everything except the deep entrails of the motor. Some of the parts are original and have been re-chromed. Many parts are new old stock from Honda. The fenders are original  re-chromed. The painted parts were purchased as a set from Yamiya. The rims are new from DID. 98% of the hardware is new from Honda. Wiring harnesses are new. Seat is new. Pipes are HM300’s. Last fall I was in Florida and came across the gentleman that had it. At that point I couldn’t resist any longer and 52 years later I had my CB750. I have spent the past couple months getting acquainted with it and learning about it. I have had to troubleshoot and repair a couple things and I changed the front and rear sprockets. I learned how to sync the carbs. I am pretty familiar with the type of carbs bcz I’ve had other bikes with similar. I have been watching plenty of CB750 videos on YouTube. I hope I don’t get bit with something major in the motor but if need be I will rebuild it in my basement. I plan on riding it – and have been. It is not going to sit on display. It is a blast to ride and it causes a stir everywhere. I enjoy seeing the look on people’s faces – even on those people who are not necessarily cycle enthusiasts. People just seem to know that there is something special about the bike… and there is!!
