heres what I started with and as she is today. 1975k, handmade exhaust, still needs #$%* bar and final paint will wrap the exhaust. Maybe new headlight and mini brake in front.

My 750 from 1974, Flake Sunrise Orange. This bike was new in Norway and have 1 owner befor me. I restord the bike last winter. I love this bike, smooth and strong.

It's a decal for a K2 in Europe.

Dave, in Portland OR............found a '71 K2 (titled as a '73 with an XL250xxx vin on the WA paperwork???) on Craigslist, guy was asking $450, he had inherited it from his dad who was second owner in '79, dad rode it until he died a few yrs back at 70+. The guys daughter rode the remaining tread off the tires and rather than replace them, leaned it up against the wall outside of the garage where it sat long enough to get rusted tight. About 3 hrs playing with it in his driveway got it to roll over, so I took a chance and paid $360 for it. $140 for a Dyna points conversion (it already had dyna coils) and I'm on the road for $500. Runs great, seems to have a little more power than my buddies stock '73. Managed to put 5k miles on it since June. Went searchihg for parts on Craigslist, found a '74 motor for $40, went to buy it and wouldn't ya know, that guy has a '77 750A for sale. Bought it for $400. Got the paperwork and bill of sale, and so far have only given him $200, at his request, seems he was gonna trade it for a dirt bike, the deal fell thru, but the guy took the side covers off it, and I don't have to give up the other $200 until I get the covers. Hopefully, by then I'll have an extra $100 to buy the extra complete 750A motor he has laying on the floor....God I love Craigslist!!! And I'm quite happy with my Hondas too!! The Hondamatic needs some tweaking, but I think it'll come out alright, and hope to turn it loose in the spring for some extra cash to build something else. Pics coming soon....

New to the forum but not the bikes. Great to find a home.

I'm the second owner and have had it for 6 years. Did a mild cafe but have all the stock parts (except pipes). It is all original paint and chrome.

That is a beautiful machine, grazi. I'm not one for non-stock bikes, but that is very tasteful.
Wouldn't kick her out of bed for dripping oil.

Thanks. I was very careful not to molest anything when swapping the bars and shocks and removing the signals. Had the bike retained the stock exhaust, I might of thought differently. But can always go back if that's the best thing.

The only real mechanical I had to do was replace all the intake rubbers. They were rock hard and allowed way too much air in, particularly on start up. Very hard starting with that much air getting in. And I rebuilt the front caliper after the old fluid gummed it up.

Here are a few other detail pics. The original white paint on the HONDA tank badges was flaking off, so I carefully picked the rest out to the black base below. I know it's not correct, but I'm OK with it for now. I have NOS badges but it's not a show bike for now.

i dont think i've put my $.02 worth here yet so.........

1974 cb750 k4 frankenbike. made up of a k4 frame, k6 motor, f0 front forks and caliper, swingarm from another k4 and rear wheel/brake drum from an unknown 750k

This is the K0 that got me back into these bikes.

I just had to buy this one the deal was so good and the bike very nice 8,400 miles note the custom muffler I am building.

I also have a modified frame chopper project sidelined by the other 2 bikes, My brother and I are re-doing a 77K 750 as a gift to a vet who wants to be a patriot rider. I bought my first 500 K2 in 1973 new for $1,539 and owned a 73 750 K windjammer bike for several years.

1971 cb750 in a Cycle X Boxer frame
1974 cb750 in a C&G goose neck frame with a denvers choppers springer

Thanks for the kind words.
I bought it about 15 years ago with 15k on the clock, and it has been basically trouble free.
I did replace the head gasket last year to cure a small oil leak, and installed a new set of rings just for the heck of it while it was apart.
Every once in a while I get the urge to cafe it, but the ergos are perfect for me as it is now, so why spend the money to look good but be uncomfortable?
I have to be tinkering with something, so I'm now working on a 66 305 Dream I got last year.

Did you get the 78 in the Peteluma area of Northern Ca?
There was a guy on craigslist was selling one pretty beat up as is not running.
He was the only owner since 1980 with the pink. He wanted $1,500. I offered $200.00. He counter offered with $300.00.
