Yamiya no number pipes available, no, yes, no????
« on: April 21, 2008, 10:47:01 AM »
I check the Yamiya site occasionally for parts and a while back their site indicated that they had no number pipes but I couldn't find them listed.  Then they were for a while and I would look at them and drool and now they're not again.  I send them emails but never get answers although I've bought parts and they were always right and fast so I don't really have any complaints.  Anyone know what's up with the pipes?

I was looking for the early-style HM300 "lotus root" baffles (no fiberglass wrapping) that they used to have and they were gone too...

Wonder if the lack of response is the language difference?  I know in doing business with other Japanese based companies..that even though they may say they speak English..their staff often just isn't fluent enough to give replies.  Haven't done business specifically with Yamiya myself..so don't know if that's the case here.

If you'd like though..my wife's a Japanese/English translator (professionally).  If you give me your contact/web/e-mail addresses..I can have her write in "Nihongo" for you..see if it gets you a response.   Please keep it brief, simple though (your questions, inquiries)..as my wife doesn't like my volunteering her services for free..but will do it as a courtesy for my friends.

Let me know,

Hi Ichi,
Thanks for the offer.  I'll take you up on that when I'm ready to click the mouse and drop $1500.  Maybe they'll show up again by then.

You may be experiencing the same thing I did with my KO seat.  When I was ready to order it was no longer on the site.  Did not have much luck getting any answers direct E mail to them on their site.  However, when I saw an item they were selling on Ebay I E mailed through that site about the seat and they replied pretty fast.  Said another will be on soon.  I guess they had to make one up as they must not have a huge stock of KO seats.  As soon as the seat came back on the site I bought it.  Then I noticed they were not listed again on the site as bought the one they just made.  Maybe it is the same deal with those pipes.

They're back!  Johnie, you must be right that they only list items when they have them in stock.  Now to buy or not to buy.....
