need a 1980 cb650 carb rebuild kit

where can I get them....is this the only year and model they used these carbs every were I look has ones for 79 or 81-82 but not 80.....looking for 4 rebuild the whole deal.

I bought mine (77 550) through my local dealer and it was around $50-$60 for all 4 carbs.

what do you actually need ot replace? Honestly the only hard parts I ever replace in the carbs are the float needles and only after they have a pronounced groove worn in them (occasionally I will have a sunken float too). Those kits are usually only good for the gaskets anyway.

Can't help you on the carb question, but I can say that the dealer will sell you individual parts instead fo paying for jets that are the wrong size and needles you don't need (and will likely leak).

Havent had both sets apart to compare but arent the 79 and 80 carbs the same.

that is what i thought but from some things I have looked at they make it seem like the 80's are different from the 79....not sure though

I know the 81/82 cv carbs are diff but think the 79/80 are the same. Or at least close enough. Would have to look at my spare carbs laying around but sure I have 79 carbs on my 80 right now.
