when you said bush's war?
i started to question the video
whenever "he" was referred to i placed "bush" and i replaced all political leaders' names with "bush" and it still ALL made sense.

They are biased and ideologically driven Marxists?

The whole thing was based on supposition, assumption, extrapolation based pretty much on nothing.
I thought Saddam was just having a good time rattling his sword and watching the world get nervous.  Poor guy took his little joke too far.

A few good companies and people got rich over the whole thing.  So- some good has come of the war, anyway.

Your quote for the week;
Now we have a choice between Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum, and the Cheshire cat.

I finally belive our country is run by corporations and the government is just a facilitator to get the agenda done.   If there was world peace, we'd be invaded by aliens from outerspace.
Speaking of which- have you seen how Mexican drug armies are shooting Mexican cops with big guns they buy in the 'States?  It will be interesting to see when they start a full-scale invasion back into the USA.

Rambling  Coffee please
No- don't get up.  I'll get it it-

Good call Ernie, there was only a blurb on the news about the Mexican drug army. Seems like the news is packaged programing.

There is no difference between republicrats and democritans.  I think they use issues like gay marriage and national health care to distract us from the true agenda. I'd like to see an end to the "two-party" system.  I'd like to see a single national primary held on one day with everyone's hat in one box.  The two winners would run against one another in the actual election.  Winner would be president loser would get VP.

I could ramble for hours but I'll spare you.

Um, Ichi, you're talking about Bill Clinton here, right?  I mean, all of the quotes in the video were said during the Clinton administration or almost immediately after.

If we hadn't had an essential moron, step-and-fetch-it President..and a bunch of out-of-touch Neocon ideologues manipulating the American public..we wouldn't be here now..lamentably.

It looks to me like the whole clip could be cut down to a about a 3 second bit to accomplish what they were aiming at.  The bit that features Hillary.  Typical of politicians.

I don't really like any of the choices.  None of them are "leader" material in my opinion, just politicians.

People think that other people get into politics to become rich - FALSE. Politicians are generally rich before they get into politics. They get into it so they can enact laws that protect them further and allows them to pay less taxes, hiding into their corporations.

Seriously though. Why do people go into politics? An in-law member of my family was a provincial politician many years ago (even became a minister), so we got to see the seamy underside of the world of provincial politics. It wasn't pretty.

saw Some of Charlie Rose interviewing Bill Moyers.  He seems to feel that the war is to benefit private companies.  These compnaies sometimes have sway over the military.  For example, a HumVee rolls over a mine, the occupants have to call a private company to get a tow- they aren't allowed to push it off the road.  The tow company says it will be several hours, so the occupants have to just sit there in the open.  I would say lots of folks are benefitting from the way in Iraq.

As far as new politics goes, "The Powers That Be" have too much invested to let things change.  Assuming Obama does get elected, I think he will run into the side of a granite wall.  I don't think he'll get hurt, though.  He doesn't seem to have a plan or stradegy for ANYTHING.

Just to keep things interesting;  I agree with Rev Wright, and all the white folks who think black folks don't have a reason to stay mad as hell are kind of dumb.  Obama distancing himself is like Clinton saying he smoked but didn't inhale.  Can either one of those guys even fatasize that anyone is buying that?  He's been in the guys church for how long and was married by him and he nver know how Wright felt?  Puh-leese.  I'd actually vote for him if he waould admit that white folks are still scared of the truth.  But- he's a politician and Opera doesn't get it.  She supports a black man- not a leader.

I'm not voting this election.  Voting for the one who may or may not be the "most electable" just isn't exercising my right to vote for the (in my opinion) BEST LEADER OF THE USA.

IMO we have`nt had a REAL leader at 1600 since Ronald Wilson Reagan. The current crop disgusts me ad-nausem, I`m getting REAL tired of the "lesser of 2 evils" choices we have had the past several elections......sigh.

I'm not looking for a leader, that ain't the Presidents role. His role is to be true to the Constitution (executive) and in so doing, do the will of the people.

Once again the revisionist, liberal-biased media has duped the population at large.

While Al Gore actually did win the popular vote in 2000, Kerry never stood a chance in 2004.  Bush was re-elected in 2004 with a healthy margin:
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0922901.html

But let's not get too far off topic here.  What is all this media-induced crap about Bush's war for oil or "big business", when every leading democrat was pushing for war against Iraq even while Bill Clinton was still president, as evidenced by the video:
www.bercasio.com/movies/dems-wmd-before-iraq.wmv

If this doesn't prove the liberal media bias, I don't know what could!  It is time to re-evaluate everything you THINK you know about politics, but this time keep the liberal media bias in mind.

I thought it was the Electoral College.

I'm just saying that the Electoral College decides who will be President, not that any past election was unfair etc.

I guess the Electoral College is still the will of the people indirectly, but the popular vote doesn't decide is all I was saying to Uncle Ernie.

Bush never should have won the first time around. How he won the second time really mystifies me.  Bush is pretty much guaranteed to go down as the worst president ever. Even more reinforced by leading us into a recession and possible depression. Way to go georgie-boy.
