Well if it is in good shape and runs fine, it couldbe worth 1500 to your friend then. I would not buy it but then thats because it is not my style.

You want to make sure it runs good in person and everything looks good. Then have $100 or so on the side to get a manual and go over the bike fully.

If everything is in order and he likes it, then $1500 is not bad, try haggling a bit though!

it looks a little beat in the pics to me. The paint looks funny and the engine looks grimey. I would look this bike over in person very carefully.

It just doesnt look clean in the pics.

I dont like that the clubman bars were cut and extended in the middle. It doesnt seam to look like they were welded.

I dont like the wire showing under the keys in the one pic. to me that means sloppy work. and if the wireing is sloppy ....let me revise my statement. there seems to me that I can see a lot of wild wires in that one pic...I dont like that at all...sloppy

The "new seat" looks like a homade job to me.

This thing looks like trouble to me.

you can get a real nice CLEAN bike for $1500.00

I agree with Buffo on the handlebars, they don't look right. Is it worth it? Hmmm well never heard of a XS659 ha ha. I had 3 of these and most of them looked much better, AND I sold them for less. Definitely look at it, then haggle. michel

Your right. I called the guy. He said he was just recently in an accident, that bent the front forks, and cracked the fairing.....but if you ask me, the pics look like the handlebars are bent too. He said he has since turned them "up" for comfort......hmmm, possibly to hide the bent part. Who knows.....thanks guys ill steer my buddy away from this one, something seems fishy.

In the beginning, he was charging $2000.00, then a week later the ad said $1700, then it went down to $1500 after the acciedent, which he doesnt say anything about that in the ad, just says the fairing is cracked and hes having it fixed. Its when you call him, he tells you about the accident.

That is very iffy. You could look at it but that amount still seems too high if there is still damage to the bike.
