I wouldn't go as far as saying it will run OK with a stuck float. It will tend to load up and run rich at slower speeds and at idle on that cylinder, at higher speeds it may not be as noticeable. High float levels richen your mixture across your throttle range. Sometimes it is only a temporary sticking because of dirt in the float needle seat, it will some times stop if you tap the side of the float bowl. If not, you really need to pull the float bowl and check it out. It may just be a chunk of crud in the seat or in need of adjustment.
