I don't know if this has been an issue for others or mentioned yet,be carefull with the three screws that hold the field coil into the housing,its not a blind hole and if the screws are too long you will destroy the windings causing a short that may also overload the regulator,after a few phone calls and texts with a mate we finally found out why he had a repeat regulator failure and no charging,this field is undamaged but you can see how a too long screw will damage the internal windings.
