1984 vt500 shadow ideas?
« on: May 02, 2008, 06:12:03 AM »
Ive got this nice shadow but its very uncomrtable. Im 5 10" and either im slouching in the seat or laying back pulling myself up. Ive moved the bars all over and some places are worse. A drivers backrest would help but not any aftermarket stuff for 83-86 shadows around anymore. Has anyone here had one before? Ive thought about some CB bars on it. Any suggestions? With gas prices headed the way they are I need to make this a useful and comfortable ride. It gets 60mpg Heres some pics. Thanks
Ben

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Drag bars...look great and are quite comfy on the Shadow.

My brother had several of the shadows back in the day and for me the most comfortable had the drag bars (that was a 750 though) but I think the ergos are roughly similar.

I am a little shorter at 5'8"

I have drag bars that ive set in place to feel. I saw a 500 on e bay with clubman bars recently. They were upside down..backwards but looked possibly comfortble.?? Any one ride that way?
