'76 550k tank on a '77?
«

Hi all,
I have a '77 550K that was recently smashed up (while parked) in a hit and run... Among (many) other things, the tank is pretty bashed up. Will a '76 550K tank fit without too much trouble on my '77?
Cheers,
Dave

Not directly the 77/78 were much modified cosmetically

That's what I was afraid of. The '77 is a real pain when it comes to finding this stuff.

If you asking if it will 'fit' then yes. the shape is the same. But the petcock may be different and of course the paint/graphics wont match between years.

The tank shape, style, and function were the same for the following models:
CB550K 77 and 78, AND CB550F 75, 76, 77.
Earlier K models had a shorter, different shaped tank/ longer seat. It will go on the frame, though.
