About 3/4 the way down the page shows his set up- simple & easy.

Booo-Yaaa!

BTW...
I had Strombergs on my MGB- Absolutely WORST carbs ever!!!! I always thought that one of the things that killed MG was the switch from SU's to Strombegs.
(ok, rant over.)

I think I'd like a mini with DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder and computer managed EFI! ;D

later Mini's did have computer managed EFI, not a lot of space left in the engine compartment after that, although they then went on to also put in a forward facing radiator too.

I don't ever remember seeing Stromburgs on an MGB, was it an export thing? I thought it was Californian emission laws that did it and them horrible plastic safety bumpers that had to be a certain height.

Yes, U.S. cars 1975-1980 had Zenith-Strombergs. That and an air-pump to pass emmision laws. (Actually, I think all the British-Leyland cars of that era came so equiped.) In fact, I seem to recall that somewhere in the late 70's they even went to ONE carb.

And yes- horrid carbs, big FUGLY rubber bumbers, raised suspension, shoddy craftsmanship all served to bring the once glorious MGB to it's knees. The price of progress, I suppose.
