Hi, guys!

Actually, the bike isn't mine.  A friend of mine bought it and I'm working on getting it ready for the road.  It runs decently well, but needs some TLC to make it purr.  It truly is one of those Craigslist gems.  Under 8k miles and $300.  I'm sure the owner will be joining up soon.

I'm hoping you guys can help me if I run into any obstacles.  I'm fairly well mechanically inclined.  Okay, so I really just know enough about tools to get myself into trouble.

I've pulled the carbs to clean them out, but need to sync them.  I static set the timing, but will be using a timing light to set it for good soon.  I pulled the valve adjuster caps to check the valve clearances, but don't have angled feelers.  I'll have to do that later this week.  The clutch doesn't engage until at the very end of its travel, but I haven't checked it since I re-aligned the marks at the engine case.  The front brake locks down on the rotor, so I want to rebuild that.

Here are some pics!

Battery charging.

Proud new owner (her first bike; can you tell?)!!!

The two Suzuki bikes are mine.  And I'm the goofball.

Welcome! I don't know if we've got any other teams working on the same bike. Will this lead to flame wars within the garage?

Probably not, but I wouldn't be surprised if my working on it leads to me bursting into flames...
