Diggin' the black and gold classic here.  I never knew yellow could look so mean, though.

Yea, that's one nice looking bike. I'd have to put some kind of muffler on it, but other than that, I'd ride the crap out of it.  :) :) :)

Don't get me wrong as both bikes are GORGEOUS but the tank on that 550 just rubs me the wrong way...I think it is the indents with one being round etc....

Not sure why but it just hits me wrong....

Again, both are far superior to whatever I could pull off...and congrats to both for their scoots!!!

Being decidedly biased toward 550's..but more importantly toward nekid bikes..I vote for Ajinreno's cafe racer.

Both nice bikes for sure. Do we get to vote though, or is it already a "done deal"? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well..

You need to be more clear to us Forums neophytes Gordy..

Think @ this stage a "vote" could be interpreted as a "nomination"..don'tcha think?

Sorry, just a little forum ribbing there.  No offense intended. :)

Perhaps the two nominees don't check the BOTM thread and don't know they have been nominated.

Perhaps Heff should PM them both. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

you want the word on bike of the month?  here it is...
(as shown in the bike of the month rules thread)

SOHC-FOUR motorcycle of the month rules:

1.   the SOHC4 motorcycle must be owned by the forum member (we’ll take your word for it)
2.   user must be nominated by another member, no self nominations
3.   a nomination must be made, seconded and accepted within the allotted timeframe (if you do not accept a seconded nomination by the 15th of the month, you/your bike will not be included in the contest for SOHC4 of the month)
4.   please refrain from topics other than motorcycle of the month within these particular threads
5.   if you nominate another user that has multiple motorcycles, state which one you would like to nominate
6.   the motorcycle must be a Honda SOHC4

HOW IT WORKS:

1.   monthly nominations will begin at the beginning of the month and run until the 15th
2.   from the 16th to the end of the month a poll setup will be used to vote
3.   users will not be able to view the results until the contest has ended each month
4.   the user with the most votes wins bike of the month

NOTE:  each month, a forum moderator will setup the nomination and voting threads.  Please do not start one yourself as it may become quite confusing.

Small prizes may be awarded depending on availability.  If you'd like to donate an item to be awarded please speak with a moderator.

Lastly, January through November we will vote on "bike of the month", in December we will vote for "bike of the year" based on all the 11 winners of "bike of the month" throughout the year.

Sorry, I hadn't checked this thread in a while....I don't know if I feel right accepting, I didn't build this bike...just fell in love with it and bought it from the builder. So I guess I accept as long as the praise is directed at the bike and original builder, but can I vote for the other bike?

Ummm...

Sorry.  I don't check this thread very often (except to vote) and hadn't realised.

I accept on behalf of Eamon (who actually owns the bike). I'm just the guy who has it in his barn!

Where is Eamon Steve? I haven't heard from him in years! Is he really still alive, or did you "do him in" so you could keep his bike in your barn? Ha ha, Cheers, Terry. ;D

p.s., it seems like a waste nominating Eamon's bike (as nice as it is) when he probably won't see it, so I'd vote for ajinreno............ ;D
