New Rider: looking for bike
« on: April 26, 2008, 06:56:41 PM »
Hello,

I'm a new rider in San Francisco, a couple of friends got me interested in vintage hondas and cafe bikes. I just recently took the riding class and am now starting to look for a bike.  It seems the cb350/400/450 would be a good match for a first bike.  If you have any tips on where to look online for bikes (aside from craiglist) or tips when checking out, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
daniel

Besides craigslist you can check eBay, the for sale area of this forum and other forums for specific bikes.  Do a search on the net and you can get all sorts of hits.  Pick up the local paper and you might find a keeper real cheap.  Yard sales and estate sales I have found some nice bikes at a good price as the people just want to get the big thing out of the garage.  Good luck in the search...
