What do you ride?
« on: April 28, 2008, 05:51:06 pm »
I was just wondering what everyone rides. I ride a 350F that was supposed to be temporary until I couldfind a bigger one. It turns out I really love riding this one and don't really care if I get a bigger one or not. However, I might be buying a 650 since the guy came to me with a deal I couldn't refuse. We'll see if he's serious or not.

My first motorcycle was a '78 goldwing. Then I got a free '82 goldwing but it needed new forks. So the '78 came apart and made the front end of my '82. It looked really great having the bags and trunk but no fairing. No one believed it was a wing. Sold the '82 for the '75 750K. Traded what was left of the '78 for another 750K frame. The frame is still at the guys house but I trust him. Plus, I live in an apartment and work on my current project in my buddy's basement (he lives with his parents). So I can't have too many projects at once.

Currently have a CB450 (Way too small for me) and a 07 Ducati Monster.
Smaller bikes are cool to build and tool around on, but just dont cut it for me
size wise..

signature tells all...

could you please separate all of the models... the 350f is very similar but VERY DIFFERENT from the 400f  just as the 500 and 550 are different as well.

edit: thank you!   :)

Alright, I seperated them as best I could. The first time I seperated them I noticed the voting got all thrown off and the poll showed everyone rode 550's. I just added the 400 and 550 at the bottom. The poll was originaly just to see what the average size was. Even though there are differences it didn't matter.

650. Best of the bunch (hem, hem). Not that I have ever ridden any of the others. Still serving me faithfully as my main 'ride' after 22,000+km in the last two years. Had a thrash over the local 1700+ metre altitude freeway yesterday with no problems. I love this bike. (And I tell it that a lot.)

I like them all. If I had money and space I'd have one of each and that includes F & K series.

I've owned a 77 550K3 and a 1980 650Z, Both great bikes. But my favourite has got to be my 1977 750K7. I do love that bike.

Man - I feel lonely - or special...

The under-representation of 400f's in the poll seem at odds with the number of 400f posts I see (or maybe we are just loud - see why do you like loud pipes).

I have a 750 and two 400's.  I tried to enter them both in your poll and it gave me hell for trying to vote twice?  Not trying to bias the poll, that's just the way it is in my garage.

I use to love to ride my 1970 SL350 but got tired of hearing my wife and others say stuff like I look like the bear at the cuscus on a bike so I sold it before the winter of 05.
So I let my wife talk me into buying a nice used 99 Yamaha Roadstar 1600 so we could both go riding together.  Then she gets this memorie of when she was a kid and rode ATC three wheelers and says she wants to ride. So she gets her licence and says we need another bike so I told her I'll get one I like and bought a 77 CB 750 F a lot less expensive and fun to ride. She even likes it now that I let her ride it.

If the spouse wants to got for a ride, the Goldwing GL1800. For a solo blast or the local coffee shop car show, one of the 750's.

A `77 550K. My first `proper` bike after I passed my test in `80 was a `77 F2 so I bought this as a nostalgia trip, and it only cost £ 550!! I love it, tried a 750 but found it too heavy. I`d love a `75 or `76 Wing, the original plain Jane, but again, too heavy!

I mostly have 750's but my favorites are the 350/400's
76' cb750f custom
69' cb750 sandcast
69' CT90
Amen Saviour 750 Chopper frame
and enough parts to build about 6-7 more bikes

Thread title and question don't match.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
