Wow this site is way cool.  Has already helped me fix all my ignition troubles on my new bike.  I'll post some pics soon of my stock bike and then document my Cafe Racer transformation with pics.

I'll be moving back to Anchorage this year and I'm bringing my 73 750, I'll give you a shout when I'm all settled in.

That sounds familiar.  I lived off K-Beach Road for several years in the late 80s to mid 90s.

Hmm I'd have to say 4-5 months.  Three months of that is decent sunny weather.  It's cool though the fishing is worth it.

Ok just posted some pics.  Just bought this last week.  Has a killer paint job by a real pro.  Awesome condition.  I'm just now ordering some cafe parts and a new electronic ignition + coils.  Am still researching what to do with the exhaust.  I want something super loud without having to rejet the carbs.  Even possible?  Any links to some good exhaust threads would be helpful.  Still learning to navigate this site.

No, I liked it there.  It's best place to live in Alaska in my opinion.  But even so, I got tired of the crappy weather.  I didn't mind winter at all, but I like to have a summer.  Most years, it rains most of the summer, at least it did when I lived there.  I never figured on living in the same place forever, anyway.  But I still get a little homesick for AK sometimes.
