Makes the bike...the chrome does....

I'm also on an anal hardware kick at the moment....

Dirty hardware you know...can keep ya up at night  ::)

i hear that my friend , i got hooked on chrome plated hardware,...... several hundred dollars later, i'm wishing i would have just polished stainless ::)

but thats what you gotta do... the little details make or break a bike

Whenever I need any hardware I replace it with stainless, I guess it is my little affliction ::)

yup, ghost doesn't f**k around

I've been trying to get motivated to smooth and paint my tank for about 4 1/2 years now.  He knocks it out in a week.

The bike is looking great.  You'll hopefully get some shakedown runs before the south Texas heat sets in.  It's already 90 something here in Houston with that f'n humidity.  Hard to enjoy much daytime riding in June - September.  The price we pay for riding all winter I guess.

What a sweet looking motor, how the heck did ya get it that clean or is that all new paint, either way I'm rat arse jealous!
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I was posting in your question while you were posting here.

Man I abhore cleaning engines...Seems it takes forever to get them in a condition to paint.

Degrease...more degrease.... some more degrease....

Nylon brushes in a drill...more degrease....

Its really just awful.

Still have the red one.

The One in the pic is the blue one I pulled the crease out of and painted.

I have another seat...that will probably get cafe'd....So I was thinking of doing another set of side covers Red to match the other tank....Kinda a convertible...red stocker one day...Gunmetal grey Rocker the next

Thats quite the work bench. It looks to me like an old wooden coffee table, must be one hell of a table to hold up all that weight! I'm guessing what you got there is already 200+ lbs?

Hey just a crazy idea......

I built my last work table out of a steel fire door.

Works great. Maybe you can find one used?

Scrap yard?

BTW Dave I appreciated the pic's of the brake splitter....

Could you post a pic of your wiring harness routing at the frame neck?

Brake splitter? I didn't know I took a pic of a brake splitter  :D

I can take a picture of the wiring at the frame neck, its all stock though, and a little dirty, so may I ask what's interesting you 'bout it?

Edit: Nevermind, wrong Dave  :-[

Awesome bike, I love the job done on the powder coating/paint/chrome. The thing looks brand new, just looking at the battery box makes me drool.

Thanks for sharing, this bike is going to be badass,
