Topic: Headlight Bulb...

Ok... sorry I haven't been on here in a while and don't post much... the 77CB project is a little... stalled. 

So, I've been working on the 'ol SV... Long story short, I've turned the SV into my "Cafe Racer" project, utilizing the headlight from my '77 CB.  Last night, on the way back from volleyball, my lowbeam stopped working... thankfully, I still had highbeam, and didn't have far to go.   

What's the part number for the headlight bulb?  Is there a specific one, or can I just run over to AutoZone and pick up a generic replacement?  Thanks for any help, and here's the SV thus-far...

P.S.  Don't tell the folks over at SVRider.com... they haven't seen it yet.

Nah autozone doesn't carry them.

The bulb has some bracketry built it for mounting and ajustment.

So how would I go about getting a replacement?

Well the last one I needed was for a 350/400...slightly smaller in diameter.

I ordered it from the Honda dealer....$25.00

with that nice of a bike I would go ahead and get a h4 conversion from ebay.

Aw... I'm glad somebody thinks the bike is nice.     It's an '05 and I'm pushing 50K... so it's had some use.  :p 

Ok, after tearing the whole thing apart, I found that it's a sealed beam light.  Also, I lost the high-beam now too, so I have no light.  So much for riding after dark.    At work, I found a really cool 500 light with a little hood that came over the light.  Sadly, I never found it again.     That would have looked #$%*in', IMO.

Anyway, I'll keep looking, but in the mean time, I picked up a random aftermarket 7" light, with H4 bulb and everything for $50 shipped off FlyNCycle.  I should have it by the beginning of the week. 

It'll at least get me by until my trip to the gap in June, and until my tax return gets here so I can stimulate the economy by buying more bike parts.
