when installing front wheel axle holders......
« on: May 02, 2008, 02:50:27 PM »
I thought there was a post with pics detailing this (could have been another site) , but I've been searching for 20 minutes and can't find it....

There is a tiny dot (indention) on 1 side of each axle holder - as I recall, it should go toward the front of the bike ?
And then, you tighten the front nuts first, before the back nuts are tightened....

That seem right ?   I'm probably over thinking this again.  Got the tires mounted without injuring myself and am looking forward to a nice leisurly Friday evening ride.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Sounds about right, one side of the cap should have a noticeable gap on it when you're done.  The one you tighten first is the side without the gap.

that sounds right, my bike has an "F" mark that is mounted forward and is tightened first.  just confirmed this in my owners manual.  you got your owner's manual?  look under wheel removal.

Well, I looked in my manual & my other non-honda manual...and didn't see them
Mine don't have an "f" mark...just the dot.

Thanks...now I can take it for a spin.  FINALLY!
