Sampled a lot of the local plant life in Southeast Asia. Just never had the urge. Trust me I am nuts enough as it is.

Actually Bobby, I think LSD was invented for nuts.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

anyway... off to watch the carpet  ;)

Anybody play Guitar Hero?  As soon as a song ends, look down.  After watching the notes scroll down for a few minutes straight, the carpet will appear to "crawl" up.

What a loss.  I guess the story of the invention was that he tried some of what he'd come up with (derived from ergot, right?) and said "Well, crap, it's not working."  and took a bike ride home.  and WHAT a ride.

I'm not sure I'm tightly wrapped enough, I get high and after the 3rd hour of stonage I start gettin' a little freaked and wanting to come down... so hours and hours of lsd would probably scare me.  shrooms were enough.  I'm *in* my weird 20s... but I think I've experimented enough for quite awhile.  Still... everyone remembers their first experiences.  I remember watching the lightbulbs get sucked in and out of their sockets and the wooden paneling on the walls running like wet watercolor...

as for medicine, yeah... heroin and marijuana have fantastic medicinal qualities but H is *so* addictive, and marijuana has been abused so badly, they both have lost credibility as decent pharmaceuticals.  A shame.  It's like $1 gasoline.  If we had access to it, would we merrily ride motorcycles, drive priuses/hybrids/geo metros, or would there be MORE hummers/ SUVs and massive trucks on the road?  people aren't known for their restraint. ::)

I live in Oregon.  Sure they're lifting ordinances etc, but still, if you say you have a medical mj card, people will mock you.

It's not getting the research it deserves. Canabinoids do wonders for parkinsons, diabetics (lowering blood sugar) and cancer patients...

It'll just be a while before it really gains the respect it deserves.
On a side note, hemp seed is actually really high protein and the oil's good for cooking, the fiber is strong and makes nice clothes etc... I think the whole thing would be really useful... but I'm just a hippy with an old motorcycle, so don't listen to me. ;)

Am I the only one who thought "limited slip differential" when I read the title? :P

I don't know if that's because of the amount of "abuse" as some people may call it or due to the amount of government propaganda that's been shoved down our throats for generations. We have a wide population of people who take the government at their word and what they say as gospel with out the ability to think for themselves. It just seems strange to me that more people abuse alcohol and tobacco with far more health risks involved with less risk of prosecution provided you drink responsibly.

It's not getting the research it deserves.

that's because way back when it was a highly misunderstood (and hated by the moralists) drug, they (the effing gov't) made it a schedule one drug... meaning, no research, no nothin'... it is illegal as an illegal drug can be...  at least in the US.

retarded... absolutely, retarded.
