Adjusting the neutral switch??
« on: May 08, 2008, 08:56:11 AM »
On my 77 750K, the neutral light works, and is on when I'm in neutral.  When I put the bike into gear, it doesnt go out, it just sort of gets dimmer.

Is there a way to adjust this at all?

There's no adjustment.  The switch can, in theory, be disassembled and cleaned, but if it's bad you're better off looking for a replacement.

Just to be sure of things, check for a short to ground in the wiring.  The switch operates by connecting to ground when you're in neutral, so if you have a chafed wire somewhere, that'll keep the light from going out.
