which master cylinder rebuild kit ? '78 CB750F
« on: May 01, 2008, 10:16:56 PM »
Frame number 2211521
Engine numberf 3111625
1978 CB 750F
need rebuild kits for both front and rear master cylinders but can't seem to identify exactly WHICH kit to look for
Can anyone help?  I'd like both the Honda part number and the S.C.I. kit number.  An e-bay contact said I should get the SCI 32-1324 kit for the font brake master cylinder but a search finds this described as for a gold wing despite the fact that the photo 'looks' like the right parts.
Same source says get the SCI 32-1458 kit for the rear but since I haven't pried my master cylinder apart yet I can't be sure the parts look the same.

HELP!!

Thanks in advance.

Contact terry Quail mate, he's a member here, and supplied me with a new genuine Honda master cylinder kit for my '78 CB750F front master cylinder. His email address is below. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

My MicroFiche says:

Cylinder set, FR. Master  P/N 45530-410-305  Honda Code: 0486886
Cylinder set, RR. Master  P/N 43530-410-305  Honda Code: 0496679

I think.  The Fiche is old, a copy, and hard to read

hmmm, the FR and RR PN's are the same for both?  I don't think so.  But I'll try to check it out anyway.  Thanks.

They're not the same, second digit is different.
