Side Cover Fitment Issue
« on: May 05, 2008, 12:19:48 PM »
This is a pic of the left side cover on my 350F. The pin is a little off the mark and I can't find anything that's bent or off.

I can get the cover snapped on but it then wants to lift off the top tabs  ???

Anyone else have this experience?

Weird!!

Mine does push up on the tabs a little but doesn't force them off.

Thanks LM, Maybe my cover is slightly deformed?

I forgot to mention that the right side cover lines up perfectly.

One of my bikes had a cover that fit similar to that.
My solution was t place the cover in position, heat it with a hair dryer, then gently twist it into proper alignment. Hold it in place till it cools down and it should be fine.

In my case the cover had set in a box for a long while with one side 'hanging' and it apparently twisted through many heat/cold cycles.
