what am I looking 4? should be ez answer
« on: May 05, 2008, 12:05:28 PM »
I am looking for a bike from my childhood.

It was a honda probably pre 1976?  tanks was darker green and either whitle or of off white.
this is all I can remember.  I was my brothers bike and I always remember that bike out of all the ones he had.

what could it be? what is it?   what year?  any info would be helpful.  I might try and get one for ol time sakes

thanks

Well it looked more like the first bike.  Now that I think about it the tank I remember looked somewhere between the '70 cb and an older honda dream cb tank.  Man I wish my memory was better.  I am still looking.

thanks for the pics.  I am doing some more searching

Were there rubber knee pads on the tank?

There used to be a website that had ID numbers and pics (similar to the Honda ID Guide, but in color), but I can't remember where it is.

The CB350 K0/K1/K2 all had green as a choice, all had a good deal of white on the tanks.
The K0/K1 both had rubber knee pads, not the K2. the K2 was a candy green, while the K0/K1 were just plain ol' green.

Production years were 1968-69 for K0, 1969 for K1, 1970 for K2.
K0/K1 were sold concurrently through 1969, similar to the way CB450 K2/K3 were both sold in 1970.

Hope this helps - although, the CB175 K4/K5 (1970-71) sported a similar paint scheme, in candy green.

hey guys,

thanks for the help.  I still can not figure this one out.  It was either a 69 cb350.  But the tank I remember looked more like an old cb77.  maybe it was repainted?  I am still leaning towards the '69

thanks for all your help

Early 350 was a DARK green & white.

350s had a metal loop ahead of the riser bolts to hold cables, I think seat flipped up with hinge on the back, shifter had a likage.. some had a cover on the engine near top said type 1... they had horizontal metal braces along the underneath of the upper arch of the rear fender. Did it have a 10,500 redline?..toolbox??

Was it high or low pipe?

well it was darker green and a low pipe.  for some reason I can not remember chrome on the tank.  On the other hand the tank looked like an old dream.
just had a flash back.  It was darker green I thought it had a dream badge with the honda wings but it did not.  It did however have rubber pads.  I am almost postive now that it was the early cb350.  I still would like to see the pics that were supposed to be posted.

Early 350 had a nice wing emblen set into the tank, not a round plastic one.. and no kneepads..

If it had pads, probably had round plastic emblems with wings,  and was a 305 or smaller.

well if this bike did not have the stripe on the tank with honda and it was green it would be it.  I double checked your Motorera cite again I am 99% positive that the bike I remember my brother having was the '68 super sport K0.  It did come in green and white.  would anyone have a side view picture of a Honda Super Sport 350 CB350K0 in green?

thanks guys!
