Newbie in KS

Hello to all,

I just brought home my 1st SOHC/4 - a '75 CB750F.  I scored it for $650 and feel good about it!  It appears to be all original with 24,xxx miles.  It runs but only starts with the kicker right now.  My first order of business is to fix the carb leak(s) and fix the e-start then get a good handle on the condition of the motor.  I'm not exactly sure what I will ultimately do with it but am leaning towards a bolt on cafe using some of Carpy's and/or Benji's parts.  From what I can see this is an awsome forum and just what the doctor ordered to help me through this project.  So here is my first question - is there any consensus on which carb rebuild kits are best and which supplier(s) have people have had good luck with?  Oops, that two questions. ;D  If anyone is interested you can see my bike in the gallery under Scott Minton.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Scott

I don't have any advice on carb rebuild kits. Basically, carbs are the bane of my SOHC/4 existance. ;-)

Welcome, anyway!

welcome from columbia sc! the carb kits that the cycle exchange sell seem to be the most complete of any i've purchased. http://www.cyclexchange.net/
