Do I need to use high temp paint to paint the frame?  ???

No, but a hard 2pack or powder coating would be best as putting the motor in can cause some scratching

2pack is a two part paint.Available at most smash repair suppliers or some part stores

If you have the entire frame free, I'd look into powder coating it, It's more durable than paint. need to sandblast first. I found that getting a spray job with 2 pack was nearly three times that of powdercoating.
but then it's all relevant - the frame needs to be completely bare of everything, paint, grease, rubbers etc.
High temp paint is good too if you want to avoid burning up on re-entry.::...:....
