Topic: Bought a $40 tire today...

The brand is King. Anyone heard of it?  Local dealership had it in stock.  Cheng Shing was 57, this was 40... I needed a tire bad, as my sidewall cracking has gotten noticably worse over the last week.

i havent ridden it much, all i can tell is it grips much nicer than my old, almost bald one heh.

I have heard of it..im actually running a king on the back of my Interceptor at the moment but im gonna be replacing it soon with either a Pirelli or Avon. This tire was installed last october and its already starting to crack a bit.

Yeah, I'm running them front & back on my XS650. Had them for about a year & a half. So far no problems.
They handle the commuting chores around town just fine as well as the occasional bit of twisties.

However, I put Avons for the cafe'd CB500....

I've never had any problems with my Chengs.  I did put Dunlop 404's on once, and they were nice, but they wore too fast for what they cost me.
