shift points on a stock CB750

What's the max MPH you can go in each gear at WOT to redline on your 750?

for me,

 1st to 2nd 45 50mph? (looking at the tach more then the speedo at this point  ;D)
 2nd to 3rd 65 70mph
 3rd to 4th ???
 4th to 5th  ??? ( I,ve only done the ton once) ::)

What is also the 0-60 time?
Not to open a can of worms but from what I herd stock CB750 1/4 miles are anywhere from high 13s to mid 12s?

Never really paid much attention to the speedo when accelerating that quickly.  In 5th gear I hit redline right around 100.

Not sure about all the shift points, but with my stock(as far as I know -I haven't been into sprocketland) '77 750K I was at 100mph 4th gear 7k rpm, and 100mph in 5th gear 6,100 rpm if that's any help.

Never really paid much attention to the speedo when accelerating that quickly.  In 5th gear I hit redline right around 100. 

I should amend that by saying I have good reason to believe neither the speedo or tach are all that accurate. ;)

70, 93, in 7.4 seconds, 104, 117 in 12.03 seconds....not sure after that but there's no more gear changes anyway ::) ::) ::)....will let you know on Monday what the top end is ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, Jim Chamberlain and I didn't believe that article, so we took his Vetter Phantom fairing equipped CB750K0 to the 1/4 mile strip in Peoria. He went 12.99, 101+ MPH, fairing and all...the Phantom was the forerunner of the more popular 3-piece Vetter and lowers. His gearing was the then-stock 16/45T combo, ran D7E plugs for the tests. He had over 20,000 miles on it, then, too.

If you have a fairly  hot cam, you can add 25% to all those speeds with stock gearing.. :o..

....like my bike..

Boy, you got THAT right! It took me 4 years to get 67 HP out of my K2, his put it on the ground from day 1. He NEVER let me forget that!  :D

  Why would you think that?  If the cables are good, at least one (speedo or tach) should be at least close.

I have only hit the ton 1 time on my 750 and I was at red line in 5th at about 105 i am geared a little under stock with the 16" rear wheel and I have a hot cam as for time to 60 I haven't timed it but that day I was at 90 by the end of the merging lane southbound i25 at the mulberry exit coming out of fortcollins

Havent really looked at the speedo till I'm in 5th, but I know doing redlines through the gears, while getting on the highway on my onramp......I hit 110 when I merge and am in 5th at a bit over 7,000 rpms.  I would say this is the norm for my 78 K8 since I can do it every time.  For a 37 year old bike, its still pretty impressive how "spritely" it is for its size.
