Drive Sprocket

I am rebuilding a 1978 K7 and have notice that the 15t drive sprocket is a "loose" fit on the splined shaft. It wobbles both forward and back and also sideways to a small degree, is this normal or is the sprocket worn.
Thanks, Mike

You may want to do a search of the archives. I seem to recall this coming up before. I think some play is normal there. Some play, not accessive play.

This is normal. It allows the sprocket to "follow" chain movement to a degree.
