i don't know what i'm doing (cb550 cafe build)

I was fortunate enough to get a so-so condition cb550. According to the previous owner, it was running before it was stored for quite a long time now. A mechnanic friend helped me stripped it down to smithereens  ;D. Now my question is what do we do next? I don't want to repeat a step or ruin a job because we forgot to this first, and so on. Please guide us from step 1, 2...

My plan is to remove the battery box and other electricals, and move it under the hump in the back seat. No seat has been molded so far.

I will post  pictures later.

we plan to rebuild the engine first and mock it up in a rolling chasis, or shall we clean-up and paint the chasis first before putting in the engine?

My 0.02 is thatsince you're not likely going to be changing anything about the engine ( external design I mean  ;)), you would want to build the engine first and work outward from there. No sense moding the frame a certain way only to find it wont work with the engine.
