« on: May 11, 2008, 10:50:40 AM »
This was shot yesterday during part of the Old Bike Ride 6 going up Flagstaff Mountain.  I thought I had gotten rid of the annoying buzzing sound, but apparently not.  I'm really diggin this new video capability!! ;D ;D

Gordon,

I saw your other post and now this one.  I have a question:  What brand digital camera are you using and what are its specs?  I have a Canon that will record video but I think it is crap.

Yeah, we had great weather for this part of the ride, but earlier and at higher elevation it was in the lower 30's and snowing and extremely windy :o.  It all made for a good overall experience, though.

Sparty,
The camera's nothing special.  Just a Sony Cybershot 4.1 mp.  Heffay was using a Cannon 8mp and got better quality video.

Gordon,

Are you and Heffay going to be able to post any of the snow video at 9000 feet? Cold and snowy but a great day nonetheless!!

Gordon's camera mount is a very simple but effective method. I think he should copyright it.

The batteries in my camera ran out just as we were starting to get into the snow, and then I didn't put the new ones in and start recording again until after we got out of it going down Left Hand Canyon.  I had to cover the camera with a baggie to keep it from getting wet during the bad weather.  I think Heffay might have gotten some of the snow riding on video, but you'll probably have to wait for the OBR6 DVD to come out to see it.

Great video and photo, I can't believe how smooth the roads look there. They're getting like NYC here in Mass, both eastern and central.
