Found a "Tough Looking" Yamaha XS650 Tracker and a website was listed, I checked it out and I hope you will too! The bikes are by Richard Pollock and the website iswww.mulemotorcycles.net. I'd seen some of his stuff before, but not in a while. Pretty cool.

Check them ALL out.

BTW duster (and whoever else) they've got Sportsters there too.

That front tire looks way to big for the rest of the bike, but other than that I like the look.

Yeah I wish they had a better shot of the one I saw in Cycle World. It looks 100% better.

That was another bike that he did. On the first one, the front tire DOES look large. I'm wondering if really is too large or if the fact that the wheel and tire are black, maybe it is giving that appearance. I don't know. I like the 2nd one that I posted, better. Funny thing I noticed was, in the article (in June Cycle World) he says that on previous 650s he built, he used a aluminum H-D XR-750 gas tanks @ the cost of $1000 each. Now, on this latest one, he used a 75'-76' Yamaha YZ400 gas tanks that he slightly modifies. And the look is really great!

Holy crap Bill, those are some sweet looking bikes. I just read that article in Cycle World and didn't realize that was the same guy. I'm partical to Honda, but I'd take any of those in a heart beat. My next bike will either be a naked street racer or a tracker twin.

I agree, that's why when I saw his bike in June Cycle World, I felt that others would like to know of his work also.

Its real impressive and very high end parts.
Did anyone look at the prices though?
$18,000 for a Yamaha, $26,000 for Harley
I'd want 36 XS650's for that money

Now you know why I was so impressed by that 650 Tracker. I like the pictures of the entire bike in the Cycle World better than the ones on the site. The ones on the site are good and all, but not to show off the whole bike in one picture. I've got a couple of 75' Yamaha MX400B gas tanks that are of the same basic shape as the YZ tank he used. I always like to see a new approach to a any certain style of a bike build.

$18,000 for the Yamaha, huh? You'd think that he could drop at least 5oo-700 off of that price since he's using YZ400 tanks now.

i think those wheels really kill the look of that Honda V-twin..

put a set of wire Barnes on it already..+ a set of DT,s..

I think your right about the wheels on the V-twin but there all good looking bikes. Just maybe a little personal tweeking here and there.

The rim colour often has an effect like that! Silver wheels would look way nicer.

Honda V2:
A lot of things are wrong with the Honda V-twin. It’s confused! Do I want to be a dirt bike, a café racer or should I be a cruiser? Every angle offers up a different look. I’d go adventure tour.

i understand where the name and style "cafe racer" came from but what is a "street tracker?" is it the early era of stree fighters? what is the purpose of it's style? (from what i've seen, it's a twin engine of some sort and that flat-sleek seat)

gearbot, where are you or how old are you? Streettrackers are based on flattrackers. Flattrackers or dirttrackers where the mainstay of US dirtbike racing for many decades. A streettracker is built to resemble that style of oval dirt track racing bike. Most resemble bikes from the '70s on. If you're overseas, you might not of herd of it, or if your too young, its heyday was probbaly befoer your time.

They look like Super Trapps (spelling) to me.

did you know, Supertrapps were invented by a guy from BC? cool eh!, guy is from Fruitvale. near Trail..

Streettrackers are derived from dirt track bike., hence the far frunt tire is not out of place..

Soo... those complaining about how they look with the fat frunt...must have missed the bulletin..

I think that some bikes don't look so bad with a larger front tire, while some do! Just my own opinion there.
