BCR's Customer Bike: Dante D's GB400 "tanning mahine"
« on: May 12, 2008, 09:47:18 PM »
We never really do commission bikes, but since the owner of this bike is a close friend of the BCR gang, we decided to accept the challenge and did some minor mods to this awesome Thumper. This GB400 already came with cafe set up directly from Honda factory, but the owner wanted a more individual look. He wanted to turn this honda cafe thumper into a more vintage brit style rocker cafe.

What we did was fitted our own vintage style number plate w/flyscreen and fitted the headlight exposing the ring. We made a custom seat that would tilt and lock just like the stock seat. We removed the front directionals and fitted a more clean bar end turn signals. The tank and side covers were stripped of its original paint and was sent out to get chrome for a more bare metal  look. And finally, the stock exhaust was switched to a loud BCR full stainless exhaust with trap disc silencer w/dummy pea shooter tip. And the headers were wrapped with thermo wrap to lower down the temp.

cheers,
Benjie

Very nice chrome tank - can I ask how much it costs to get it chromed? And are the sidecovers metal or plastic?

cheers
Andy
