Any More News On The New CB1100F!
« on: May 13, 2008, 02:57:25 PM »

Just wondered if any word has been put out yet whether the New CB1100F is going to be available in the U.S. and, if so, when? I could go for that one myself. 8) ;) I Know it's not a SOHC, but it's the closest thing that I've seen that I really like.

That's not bad but I'd go with painted fenders, black 4 into 2 exhaust. Or better yet the cb1100r but with a single headlight, then I'd be counting my pennies for sure.  :P :P

Yeah, it's gone that way several times before, huh? :-\ We sit here, see a really sharp bike that is going into production, and then comes the clincher..........Not To Be Sold In The U.S.A.!!!!!! >:( Maybe this time will be different. Just have to wait and see. I'm with ekim98, except I'd like to see one built with the "Old Style" DOHC F look. Like this one.

The old style can be had and the prices are less than a new retro would cost, but I really like the naked look of that cb1100r proto type. I wouldn't even care if it was fuel injected, carbs would work for me.

I've been watching ebay and craigslist but Nothing yet that made me go to the bank.

Ah yes....but will it be available in North America? And if it is, how will it be received? We all love it, of course, but the fact doesn't change that for (probably) a fraction of what it will cost you can get a real McCoy '70s/'80s UJM.

The way I see it, I think they're going to market it alongside the 919 and see how it goes.

I liked the 919 and was disappointed when they killed it. If they bring out this (to the US too) the euthanization would be worth it.

The one Bill posted is a honey as well! Pleeeeease, Honda.

You'd be amazed how much dealership salesmen are in the dark. I lost count of how many times I was the first to inform one about a forth coming model or an option they didn't know existed.

I was in a dealership this summer that sold KTM bikes. All they had were MX and other off road. I asked to see the (Super) Duke. He had no idea what I was talking about and seemed completely unaware they made street bikes. This was no hick town either.

Then there was the Ford dealership in '88...

Erm, what about the new Triumphs, or the Kawasaki W650 if a person wants Japanese??

If Honda were smart they would come out with this bike to go heads up to the other "vintage" models like the Thruxton and Ducati sport classic's that are running around.

I was referring to HONDA's input to the market (or lack thereof).  (Who's Erm?)
