« on: August 20, 2005, 02:00:18 PM »
Shoot, i just ran down my battery by leaving the key on and now my ever start charger shows a charged light and a trouble light on.
I dont have the manual, does anyone else have the same charger?/

The battery is new this year.

I have the same charger but I don't have the manual.  I will say that I don't really trust the lights on mine one bit.  It keeps the "charging" light on constantly for my Harley, which starts fine all the time.  When I hooked it up to the '78 750F I bought recently it lit the charged light immediately.  When I tested the battery on the 750 it showed no charge whatsoever.

One more thing...the only time I've ever seen the "trouble" light is when I had the leads on the wrong terminals of a good battery

i'm not sure mine's an everstart, but it has a trouble light that comes on in addition to the "charging" light when the battery's particularly dead, as well as if it's hooked up wrong.  so it's probably normal.  it probably said "charged" if you kept charging it, right?

I have one of those smart chargers.  When I tried to charge a dead battery the fault light would come on.  I had to used a regular charger to get some juice in it so the smart charger would function.
