The CB350 should have a 20:3 (which is almost 7:1). Only the 750's had  4:1

I assume you have a CB350 four,if so the cam and engine is some different from the CB500 four ,but a difference of 4-1 to 7-1 ,there would have to be a big difference in the cam  drive gear and the driven gear.My CB500 four has a 4-1 tach drive. However I am not sure about the CB350 four.

Are you sure it is 4:1?. If the 550 and 500 tachos have the same ratio, then I think you will find that it is 20:3

I bought a tach head from a fellow in Va ,who runs a bike shop.He told me that my CB500 four tach drive was 4to1. That is what he sent me and it seems to show the right RPMs. I do not know why the ones who design these rigs have to take great pleasure in creating such a jungle of different parts [I am talking about just one maker] say nothing of all of them put together. Of course,I know why they do it,it is to fun uo the price of parts. I guess that to find the right answer to what the ratio ,you would have to find someone that has worked on these older bikes a lot, then would they have noted what the ratio was? ???
