Wish I Could Get A deal Like This!
« on: May 14, 2008, 05:51:27 PM »

Even thought I'd rather have an "F" model, I'd have figured out a way to get $300 and picked up on this deal (like a member of another site I frequent, did) myself. ;) Had 18,000 miles on it and had been parked since 84'. He got it running without much trouble too. He just did some work on the carbs, gonna put new tires and a battery on it and cruise. 8) Never see deals like that around here (this was in Oklahoma City).

Yea, the new owner is very fortunate, especially since he lives in the Sun Belt.
One usually only finds deals like that in the winter time; WAY abvove the Mason-Dixon line.
Fwiw, I too would much rather have an F, but $300?. #$%*!

tempting but dont have the room. dont know exactly what's wrong with the title. probably someone dated or signed it and cant contact the PO. missouri titling laws are wierd and this problem will cause the bike to not get registered.

When I DO (if ever) manage to get things whittled down enough, maybe (if I ever get wind of a deal like that) I could pick up on one now and then. ;) Wonder if the title would be accepted anywhere else?

I hear you there, I'm still waiting for my great deal. There was a guy on cb1100f forum that bought a 79 I think 750f for $100 and rode it home. I got mine at a fare price but still had to trailer it home. A new battery and clean the carbs, free the front brake and it ran good, but it wasn't that cheap.  :(
