Saddle bag installation
« on: May 16, 2008, 06:44:29 AM »
I bought a set of saddle bags that measure 14" x 11" x 6". They are the over the saddle type. If you ever tried putting them on a 350 they hang down too far and lay on the exhaust. I fixed that problem by eliminating the strap and U-bolting the bag to the grab bar. Now they sit several inches above the exhaust and the light are in the original location. A passenger could ride but it would be a little cramped for their feet. I don't know if anyone gives a crap about that or not but I thought it might help someone.

I'll see if I can find some time this weekend to post some pics. I have a van to paint and a trailer to finish putting together but I'll try if I can figure out how.
