What the heck is the deal with cables?
« on: May 17, 2008, 12:41:08 AM »
Got some Motion Pro cables for the CB350 Twin and the clutch cable is 7 inches too long throttle 3 inches longer the brake 2 inches. Also I got some  Parts Unlimited  throttle cables for the 750 a year or two ago and yep, the pull cable was way too long. What's the point in making unusable cables? :Irritated:  ::) Or are they just idiots or something? The only reason why I got Motion Pro was  so I could get the original gray looking cables. Sorry for the rant.

cable length varies with the market sold in due to handlebar rise, probably made in Taiwan to the longest spec

The 350 twin had taller handlebars in US than in Europe. Fortunately I was aware of that before buying mine.

You can tailor made the throttle cable. By opening the junction box you can cut the pulling cable and use a solder or screw nipple. The front brake and clutch cable can be cut in the same way.
