NOPE, I LIED! Once the race is seated, it shrinks a bit, causing the bearing to stick out even further. My suggestion is to stick with the XS650 lower bearing and just shim around it for the fit. Much less hassle. And also, I had to make a spacer for the bottom tapered bearing so that the bottom triple would clear the neck.... I think just going with what Squirley has done is the easiest way. Although, now I have tapered roller bearings, for a long life without notching....
When I am done with it, I will do a thread on what was done. I have been working a lot, so I haven't worked on it much. I am teetering between two ideas now..... And for most people, they wouldn't be the easy route.... Need a grinder, a cutoff wheel, a lathe and a welder...
