OIL TANK WON'T DRAIN INTO CRANKCASE

DOING RESTORE ON 77 CB750. FRAME 77...ENGINE  A 73.  OIL DRAINED BEFORE TOP END REDO.  ENGINE IN FRAME NOW AND OIL TANK FILLED BUT OIL WILL NOT DRAIN INTO CRANKCASE...ENGINE TURNED OVER SEVERAL TIMES NO CHANGE...NEVER DONE LIKE THIS BEFORE...WHERE HAVE I GONE WRONG.

Not sure what you are describing. The oil flow is from the tank to the pump, to the engine, then drains to the sump where a scavenge pump returns it to the tank. Are you saying you are concerned that after the rebuild you are no getting oil pressure and lube to the engine?

The tank will not 'drain' into the engine, in fact it's specifically designed NOT to.  Oil is PUMPED into the engine by the oil pump, you won't see any change in the oil tank level just by turning the engine a few revolutions.  If you're concerned about lubrication for initial startup, pour in half a quart or so via the tapped covers and let it trickle down.
