New guy in Austin,TX
« on: May 20, 2008, 05:21:39 AM »
Hey y'all. I'm a first time classic bike owner ('78 cb750F) but I've been into traditional hot rods and customs for years. My plan for my bike is cafe styling with one-off custom parts here and there. I'm also interested in doing most of my own work.
I've been lurking for awhile, gathering info and applying it (first oil change). Looking forward to being able to use the search function now and learn more.

Thanks,
Kev Nemo

Hey, Kev, welcome. If you're thinking about a cafe, you might want to take a look at the Bike of the Month forum. I think you may find lots of ideas there.

Welcome! I'm in Austin, too. Great riding around here, although yesterday was HOT!

Welcome, fellow Austinite.  Not sure what it was like riding yesterday, but I'm sure it beat drilling holes in new handlebars.  If you see a '73 750 around with a bare metal tank and flat black side covers, that's me.  I'll keep an eye out for you at Lovejoy's, eh?
