Great CB750 Video
« on: May 20, 2008, 05:22:07 AM »
I found this one on YouTube:

Aside from him saying the bike "lacks soul", it's very good.

Great video..
But he keeps saying 1969, he then says it had a front disc. Did the K0 have a front disc?
I`ve seen the show this is from (cant think of the name right now) and this guy is hones but very biased in favour of brit bikes of the pre 70`s era.
He liked it, you could see that so the old girls have some real conversion power lol
Cheers

He looks to have a '71 model, with the different sidecovers and black airbox/headlight bucket.

Yep, the K0 did have a front disc.

I think he says that it lacks soul because it isn't British, and doesn't break down unexpectedly.  I'll take a nice realiable bike that "lacks soul" over a bike full of soul (ie problems)

The rear shocks are different as well.  On the K0 and K1 there was a chrome cover coming down from the top to nearly half way.  Might be all original parts but from different years.  'Lacks soul', maybe because it doesn't leak oil like Brit bikes.

He mentioned that it had modern shocks and tires... maybe that's what took away the bike's soul..?  ???  ;)

Its not the oil leaks...its not the vibration....

Its the lack of a LUCAS wiring system.

Thats why he thinks it has no soul.
