If she's ready by the time the good riding weather gets here I will be happy. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Dear diary: sick as a dog so not much happening, finished the siren and put it all back together.
Test run had my neighbours flushing all their drugs he he.
Painted the chainguard and all set to put back on bike when I'm well enough.
Am giving serious thought to getting the tank painted professionally, will price it and see if it comes within budget.

Cheers for your thoughts guys, this is the 3rd family funeral I have had to arrange so I'm getting pretty good at them.
87 is not a bad innings and I know she wanted to go, she's with my Pop and elder sister and brother (two old bikers ;D) so I don't feel so sad about it all.
She'd be chuffed to know she now had national celebrity status ha ha.........thanks again.......Hush.

Hey cheers for that, I'll add it to my gallery of cop bikes.
I haven't seen a "Patrol 750" for years and I doubt there are any left in full Police livery.
I've found CB550's and there is a CB360 near where I live in full Police rig.
There are a few Yammies appearing for sale with all the lights and sirens but man are they plastic looking after the Hondas.
Found a BMW as well.
Here's a really nice CB550 that is for sale here in NZ.

Dear diary: not much to do but wait for arrival of them Texas pipes, been much of a week of reflection but got past all that now so onward and upward.
I was watching a 650 on Trade-me for a few weeks just to see how much it sold for, some local guy added to the question section mentioning that he had one for parts, not what I wanted to hear when I had just sent half way around the world and spent twice as much asthe pipes cost in freight charges but....
Anyhow the guy still has it, no one else enquired about the parts bike and it turns out it is another ex Police CB650PZ with a very nice professionally rebuilt motor, owner tells me the rest of the bike is very sad with bits from other makes attached.
Anyhow it's got me dreaming of another project, maybe a chopper or bobber, something Jaffa could ride easily.
We'll see, he's sending me pictures shortly.
Put my bike's tank back on and added gas just to run it this week, Jaffa rode it around the back yard getting stuck in every corner of the section ha ha........she better stick to her scooter for a while. ;D

What a lovely old bike, shame about the fire damage.
It's been slightly altered with that passenger seat but with a little imagination she could be back to her old self. ;D
Bet it goes for under a $1000 too!
Buy it for me Troppo and I'll pick it up when I pop over for my coastal tour of Aussie ha ha. ;D

"And a little boy waits!"
"He waits for his pipes".
Actually Troppo was thinking along those lines myself but more a good bike bad bike set.
Fully restored original lawful police bike and a bandit cop bike chopped to make it look a bit badass. ;D

Wouldn't it be possible to get a dif. tank/sidecover set?  Do something a little more rebellious with the 2nd set, maybe a straight white with delicate white-pearl flame or some other design dancing over the tank... who knows?
