Mod Mods by those Crazee Japanese
« on: May 21, 2008, 05:57:49 AM »
I caught this on the Make RSS feed.  "HONDA FORZA shakeup plan "

These guys are making crazy retro-future elongated scooters in Japan.  The translation is almost as good as the build!

Quality craftsmanship even if you don't like the outcome....

Here's the starting point ---

And here's where they end up.

Children gawk and mouth open and saw that (laughs).

check out the build diary ---> http://www.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ne.jp%2Fasahi%2Fkuri%2Fbrain%2Fyattekita.htm&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sl=ja&sl=es&tl=en&tl=en

I have no idea as to what the text is saying, nor whether the materials used are sufficiently strong, but the step by step photos are great. Very cool design! I'm not sure I'd ride it, but I'd gawk as it went by.

That was cool. Although I think my favorite part was reading the text.

Did anybody notice that if you leave your cursor on the words, a little window pops up and it asks for different translation??
Ohhh, THAT was fun.  :o :o ;D ;D

After thinking that there wouldn't be anything else "new" in the world of motorcycling apart from more endless OC Choppers, West Coast Choppers, retro sport bikes, and other motorcycle modifications that were only variations on a well worn and tired theme, I think this sort of stuff is BLOODY FANTASTIC.
