I suspect I'm younger than the typical "gen x-r" but I still vent issues.

I'm going to have to google generation x.  I don't think it's me.

754, I don't think a k7/8 rider would wear that gear.  It must be a Hayabu-snail.

Well..... 9 pages, time for Generation Y to voice opinion

Brace yourselves old farts, were the most absent minded of them all  :D Wait till the bike fad catches on with my generation and our bikes will be parked all over the place and on top of each other. No time for notes, we;ll just write it on the tank in crayon......

Wow. it does feel good to vent  ;D

Hope...... He sounds like he's a bit high on himself. the "my bike is more important than yours" note, and the full battle gear all the way to the desk paints a picture of someone I'm sure we've all seen before.

Cheers for staying cool  8)

and Ekim , you have to realize it is an open forum, and if everyone decides to have a kick at you they will, if they feel like it.. wether it is warranted or not. ( I did not find it any worse than some of the other posts, it did not bother me)

Trust me I consider the source on 99% of the post replys and I'm sure I was LOL more than they were. But that doesn't mean I would turn my back to quickly on some of them. I'm sure some were quite serious.

No wait a second here, Hope.  Are you really saying that he wears his helmet ON HIS HEAD into the office?  I always wear my jacket wherever I go if I rode there.  Where the hell else am I gonna put it?  Carry it under my arm for some reason?  I must admit, I do like people to know that I rode my motorcycle.  I've met many other riders that way.  Also, I enjoy rubbing it in the faces of those wusses who live in fear of their own shadows and are afraid to ride.  However, I usually carry my helmet rather than wearing it on my head when I'm not on the bike.

Oh yeah, and your a prick. The whole building thinks so"

Just using your situation as an example Hope. Again, I'm sure you'll handle things better than I would.

Have I mentioned that he wears his helmet and kevlar jacket into the office so everyone knows he rode his bike to work?  Before they figured he's a jerk, they thought he was "special" for wearing his helmet into the office.

I'm almost paranoid when it comes to my car and bikes. I usually park the car far away in the mall parking lot, so nobody parks besides me and dent my doors with theirs. Better be safe than sorry. It has worked as the car is 8 years old and looks like new with its original paint.

I usually also park my bikes apart from the rest of the crowd. I don't want to stand any chance that anybody scratch my paint with their jeans or backpacks, or worst, drop it when they get into their bikes.

Bottom line? If you think 2 feet was enough and the other guy doesn't feel it is safe, it means he is not very confident when it comes to parking manouevres. Your bike is better off far from his.

here's my response, why i stepped down as moderator, and why i haven't been on here much lately... ask gordon about my anger management issues!  honestly, i think a lot of them stem from dealing w/ many of you on a regular basis when i was a mod... oh, and the nurture aspect considering i was adopted.

i would punch him in the face.
i would also punch anyone disrespecting Hope on a public forum in the face.

guess what, i never hit the ban button while i was a mod but i sure have wanted to lately!

what is with everyone these days?

am i trying to get banned?  maybe a little... some of you give me very little hope for us all and make me not want to be a part of this much anymore.

F the world, F us all... but don't use tape and note to try to accomplish what it never will.

Wow, 10 pages and sort of still on thread. Good deal.

Hope, don't let one small incident get you down/upset. It is not worth it.

I am surprised this individual is allowed to wear a helmet inside a building, what w all the terrorist alerts in the USA and all.

Wow...10 pages and all I got out of it was that Ed and Eldar actually got along together!! Will wonders never cease...

I do have to say though that in defence (sort of) of this guy on the crotch rocket...have you seen how crotch rockets are painted??? My CBR has been beaten and only has a couple of minor surface scratches there must have been 7 layers of clear on there originally!! Dude has probably owned brand new bikes and never even considered that one may have actually been repainted (unless ofcourse he dropped one doing a stoppie!). I hate the term that ignorance is bliss but in this case I think it is appropriate (and not just for the dude leaving the note!)

Oh yeah....by the way I would have expected this type of behaviour from all of you 2 months ago when we were frustrated from a long winter of no riding but now there is no excuse!! Now get out there and ride and chill out...

Who are you calling an animal!  >:(

In my commute days, I nearly always wore my gear all the way into my office.  Lunch box in one hand, briefcase/laptop case/backpack/etc. in the other.  "Most" co-workers could adapt to the visage.  Certainly reduced the number of banged chips on the helmet, too.

I've been called worse than a wanker, bozos!

Just to throw in a different spin (and counteract what I have already said!)... Now I am not saying that I would stoop to his level or anything but....if he tends to run away and not want to talk about it there is a way to make sure he calls you or waits for you to talk...put a disc brake lock on his drilled rotor! Something tells me he will still be out there when you get out from work!

Since I'm the one who's lower than the guy with the tape, I'll add one you missed.

"Hope" get your prisons guys to take him out. He's just a crotchrocket rider anyhow.

Hope, your being so civilized and honorable, but it sure sounds like your stalking him. And done nothing but add fuel to the fire in this post by posting what he drives, how he dresses, what others say or think about him and do your best to belittle him.

Haven't seen one post from you telling everybody to just back off a little.

You care so much for "your" bike but he's wrong for feeling the same about his.

You show great respect for your fellow workers by parking on a sidewalk and telling them to walk around "Your" bike.

Your so worried about your bike that you parked close to his. Are you hopping some performance will rub off onto yours or trying to impress him.

His bike probably cost 3 or 4 times as much as yours, but he shouldn't worry about his, just yours.

He must be hidding good , because you haven't been able to confront him and resolve it in the civil manner you seem to want. Is that why you seek resolve here. That will show him. I'm sure he comes the sohc4 forum all the time.

If your that worried about your bike, then maybe your shouldn't ride it where other people can even get close to it. Should he touch your bike, evidently not, but this is a poor place to resolve a personal issue.
