Actually, I think that melting ladies with water is just a Hollywood imagery trick.  Yeah, I've seen pictures/movies of it happening, but never in real life.

Now, if you throw them in a large enough body of water and wait a good while, they will disappear from view, regardless of age.  But, I'm not convinced they actually melted, or if their paint was actually affected.

I remember it used to be common practice to use cold cream to remove paint from a lady.  But, as I got older, I always questioned if this wasn't more of a sexual fantasy about smearing white stuff all over, than an actual clinical function of simply removing face paint, especially considering the use of a mirror during the ritual.

yes, thank you... i know it is not "corrosive"

but it will degrade paint, plastic... basically, anything w/ a finish.   :-*

Glass has a finish, will it hurt that?
Chrome finish?
Teflon finish?

What a hoot, TT.

So, I think we've solved the problem and can now safely close this thread. Tempura washes off with water. Thus, the crotch rocket rider should have used tempura to paint a message on Hope's gas tank. Upon seeing the message, Hope would have likely thought, "Wow, what a considerate fellow he is. I shall park further away from now on."

Oooops, nice catch Sir Blasty. I meant Tempra (see TT's post about naptha). Tempura would have made an awful mess.

Wait a minute, tempura might not be such a bad idea.  Imagine having the note spelled out in tempura shrimp, carrot sticks, etc. on the tank.  Covered in saran wrap, of course.  Edible notes would sure take the sting out of harsh words, don't you think?  And, a handy snack, to boot!  I can think of worse bribes to get someone to park farther away.  And, a little peanut oil will wash off quite easily.  Maybe leave a small Evian or Perrier bottle, too, just so you won't get parched.

Batter up!

Anyone think of calling the Police?

Maybe we should attach a pad of Post-It's to our tanks and a pen for anyone that wishes to leave us a note.
Hope, Maybe you can find some black lipstick and write on the bike seat in reverse letters "I have a little di*k" so when he sits on it, the message is transferred to his ass, and readable to all behind him  ;D

Oh I get along fine unless others insist on letting their caveman side do the talking. Then I think they have hit themselves with their clubs too many times.

Especially on this thread.

So I guess everyone on this planet is an asshat to someone else.

That guy who supposedly used 10 inches of tape(if hope measures like my wife, it was actually HALF that)is an asshat.

People going overboard for something so simple are being asshats.

I am an asshat for bothering to bring some reality to their fantasies.

I certainly hope you're including yourself in that group.  From what I've seen you were the only one calling other members "stupid", saying they "sound like retards", and then screaming at us in another post.

Who's the one going overboard? ???

KK, if I don't miss my guess, you're referring to scene 23.

Scene 23: Inside the Stateroom aboard Ship
Kurt: Hon, did you put this tape on the door?
Goldie: What tape?
Kurt: This tape.
Goldie: No, why would I put tape on the door?
Kurt: That's why I asked. Nevermind, hand me that ruler. (Goldie hands ruler to Kurt.) Aha! Just what I suspected. It's seven and a quarter inches long.
Goldie: So?
Kurt: Well, if it were any less, the person who left it here would only be a dingleberry. But seven and a quarter inches of scotch tape is the true sign of an @ssh@t.
Goldie: What's an @ssh@t?
Kurt: Well, it's sort of, ummmm...well one forum member called it an act of douchebaggery, and you know what a douchebag is, don't you?
Goldie: Of course, but who put the tape there?
Kurt: That's what I'm going to find out.
Goldie: Why don't you just put some Goo Gone on it?
Kurt: THINK WOMAN! We're in the middle of the ocean. Where am I going to find Goo Gone?
Goldie: Do you think Julie the cruise director might have done it?
Kurt: I don't think so. Besides, she's usually so coked up I don't think she could manage it, although if she did, it'd be just like her to forget to attach the note.
Goldie: Could Captain Stubing have done it?
Kurt: Right..mmmmmmm...Gavin Macleod. I never trusted him.... (Goldie and Kurt look at each other thoughtfully as the theme music comes up.)
