If I remember correctly there is also a swingarm for the same model on ebay right now.

IMO, it ain't the prettiest thing I've ever seen though. ::)

why is it so desirable?  just because of the limited run?

it comes with a cafe seat?

for as much money as they seem to be demanding you could make a killer sohc4 cafe.

Why...
I suppose, in part, because cafe style is big these days.
The value goes up as demand does- and there really aren't that many.
If you like the style, GBs are gorgeous.
They are a 500 single.  Singles just have a different appeal to many people and really can't be compared to a 4.  These bikes are incredibly light and facile.
The downside is, they are purpose-built and can get crampy on long rides.  They are smaller,. overall, than you would think just looking at pictures.
Another downside is they are hell to change oil.  Messy.  Oil all over the place.  Hard to check oil level.
Great in the mountains and around town.

I stuck one of those motors in a CB360 frame.
--weighs less than the 360 motor.
I found it to be dangerous on the road, though.

Rides: 75 CB750F, 48 Indian Chief, 67 Triumph TR6, 63Honda CA95
