Vacuum line on the carbs? '78 550K
« on: May 24, 2008, 08:06:45 PM »
Okay, so there's what appears (to me) to be a vacuum line coming off a nipple on this bank of carbs.  Or maybe it's an vent line.

My GT380 has a vacuum line that hooks to the the petcock, but this CB only has one nipple coming off the petcock.

Can somebody tell me where to direct this hose that's sticking off?

No vacuum lines on this vintage of CB.  The fuel is gravity fed.  Some carb racks are set up for a petcock with a single output tube, some for dual tube, but they are output, not vacuum.

If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

The larger diameter tube is the fuel line.  The smaller diameter line is a bowl vent.  It routes back and down between swing arm pivot and the motor case.

I figured as much TT, but just wanted to be sure.  It's a small ID tube, about 3/16" or so.

Thanks!
